Uncertainty and adaptability are the two key word for 2023 in business

Inflation, rising energy and raw materials prices are likely to contribute to business uncertainty throughout 2023.

A further difficulty, according to a recent Wired article is likely to be recruiting key people.

The article here https://www.wired.co.uk/article/labor-employment-skills argues that business leaders will need to be adaptable in using a skills-based approach to recruitment.

It says: “More than 40 percent of hirers are now explicitly using skills to screen and search for candidates on LinkedIn”.

It argues that “Leaders who understand that the old ways of hiring based on degrees and pedigree no longer make sense will be the ones to succeed.”

It is n longer enough to target recruitment on the basis of a degree when recruiting staff.
